The Chalkood Cake Macro compresses the tree's staple diet — nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium — onto an organic, humic-rich carrier that releases gradually at root depth. Pit placement instead of broadcasting keeps nitrogen losses from volatilisation and leaching to a minimum, and puts phosphorus straight at the root, away from the fixing surface layer of calcareous soil. The sulphur in the formula locally lowers pH around the pit, smoothing the uptake of phosphorus and micronutrients. The result is even nutrition from the start of the season through fruit maturity — no growth shocks, no repeated fertiliser passes.

Apply at winter chalkood time: dig a pit 30–40 cm deep in the outer third of the canopy drip line and place 1–3 cakes, by tree age and size, together with well-rotted manure, then cover.
